New Jubilee Web-Store!

Post  Cherry Black on Mon Oct 26, 2009 7:56 pm

New Jubilee Web-Store!

It’s wacky, we know, but there’s almost TOO MUCH going on with Jubilee to know where to start here. I guess we could begin by telling you about our new “Old Fashioned” Web-Store, yeah? We could flap our gums about it all day, or you should just click HERE to see it for yourself.

If for some reason yer mouse is broken er sumpthin, I suppose we COULD tell you that the Jubilee Web-Store is the ONLY place online to purchase Jubilee music that comes on those round things they call “cd’s” and “records”. AND, instead of the inconvenience of all that “downloading” stuff, we’ll actually MAIL these things straight to your house! Yeah, just like all those bills and parking tickets you never pay. Or coupons for pizza!

This is also the only spot you’ll find various types of other Jubilee shwag, such as t-shirts, blow-up dolls, etc. Specific things that’ll get yer pee-pee hard might just be one of our “Super-Duper-Stick’Em In Yer Pooper-Limited Edition” items. The occasional vinyl test press could just pop up now and again… Or posters, bags of Jenni’s pubes, and other random collector-nerd crap. Ya might even notice that right now, there’s a couple 7-inches priced at $25. Whaaaa?! That’s cos we’ve put up a handful of the first 100 records that were pressed for both singles. These versions came on different colors of vinyl, had different inserts, etc.

We’ll also occasionally be offering special t-shirt designs only available in VERY limited quantities, and NEVER made or sold again. Even at our shows! (Yeah! We’re actually gonna be doing those again too! Whoodathunkit?) The very first of these “Limited Edition” t-shirts is actually available RIGHT NOW. Only 100 of these “Fallout Shelter” shirts are being made, and will NEVER be printed again. These come in either a men’s or women’s style, printed on black regular fit Alternative Apparel “burnout” tees, with yellow ink. “Burnout” fabric is put through an extensive process to reveal years of authentic weathering and a cozy vintage worn-in feel, so no two shirts are exactly the same. These bad-boys are dyed, washed, and pre-shrunk. Sure, we could’ve just made these on cheapo regular “band shirt” crap… But it’s more satisfying forcing our personal tastes upon you. First come, first served, so don’t sit on yr hands there, sperm-burper!

Now… We realize that for some of you, the prices on a few of these items might be a bit out of your range, and a tad expensive. Well, for some of it, you might even be right! But try to understand that in this day and age, being a “musician” ain’t exactly the wisest career move in the world if you enjoy certain luxuries such as… Oh… Electricity… Running water… Food? As they say, “If ya wanna dance, ya gotta pay the band.” So if you enjoy what you hear from us, and what we’re doing (or about to be) don’t hesitate to perpetuate the creation of the finer things in life… Those sounds, sights, and feelings that actually get you out of the bed every day, instead of swingin’ from the ceiling fan above it.

And please be patient with us as we get this whole operation up and running. Soon, the look and function of the store will be getting a significant face-lift. When launched, the new Web-Store will contain quite a bit more items than what are available there now. Thanks for your patience.

If any other UK peeps fancy anything in the store, let me know because I want one of those Fallout shirts, and it doesn't make sense us all spending $15 on shipping!

I wish my eyes would notice changes in my feeds so I'd actually pick this stuff up two days earlier rather than later.

What they've gone already? It's showing them as still available for me. I know they're £15 a piece and I don't really have the money to spare on collection, but if they're not lying and run through the checkout I'm not stopping. If they are gone though, we're going to be barraged by some insane prices on eBay. I'm betting more than double price to start.

By the way, the CD and vinyl single combo is insane value. If you don't have any of those yet, this'll be the cheapest you'll pick them up.

Sorry Paul. My words are a little confusing. What I was saying was that I placed an order then realised there was something else I wanted so I couldn't take advantage of the postage discount and would have to order again.

The combo pack is great value but I already have all of the released (or have them on order...).

With postage the vinyl's are about £25 with postage to the UK. If they have any left at the end of the month I might get the In with the Out Crowd vinyl (which would complete my collection).

Ah, I was hoping you meant that. I put in the order a few hours ago for both, coming to £47.07 in total. No doubt I'll get clobbered for import charges too, as that almost always happens to me. I can only guess at how many are left now, but the availability bars look to have gone down on both. The source code says 60% stock for the Rebel Hiss one, and 70% for the In With The Out Crowd one. Stupidly I didn't look at that before, so I don't know how far down they went, though I reckon the Rebel Hiss one was about the length the IWTOC bar is now, which may mean there as few as six and seven left respectively. Somehow I can't imagine they sold as many of the first 100 of each as to have had only 10 left when they started selling them online (especially IWTOC which only came in towards the end of the previous UK tour), so I'm hoping for the sake of others that I'm wrong.

And yes, I have everything in the combo pack already too, but I almost wish I hadn't because that would be only another $25 with the same postage cost.

[edit]As for the digital subscription, it'll be disappointing if they just stop that. I know he said "AND, instead of the inconvenience of all that “downloading” stuff, we’ll actually MAIL these things straight to your house!", but that doesn't have to mean they're scrapping the digital stuff, and rather could be saying that these are products that exist already so what you order is what you get, and in due time. Hopefully they'll put any profits they get from this to good use and we'll eventually get the rest of what we're meant to from the digital subscription.

Well Aaron has not said anything about the subscriptions yet. Until he does I would rather not make assumptions.
I do wonder what will happen though. Does anyone have any idea how many people subscribed?

No idea of numbers, but even if there were only 10 of us subscribed, we still deserve what we paid for!
Ah well, ever the optimist, I'll keep waiting.

Aaron's a real sweetheart, but bloody hell he can be frustratingly vague at times!

You are right, a lot of promises were made to the subscribers. A digital album, limited edition vinyl, another EP.
I know these things are complicated but being vague about when these things might happen is, as you said, very frustrating...

Seeing as how Troy is the proper drummer with the band now does anyone else think that they may be ditching the idea of loads of guest drummers on the album? I hope not but it would explain why it is taking so long!

I wouldn't say he's vague about that, he states pretty clearly that those things will pop up on the store anytime from now.

Yeah, I'm pissed.

So about a week ago I bought both limited to 100 7'', and out of curiosity I've been checking the availability bar. They were both about halfway and now I checked 'em and they're out. I really hope there's no fuck up for people who ordered it.

You should all check the web store. They have some LIMITED EDITION military style Jubilee Jackets. They are $75 each. There are only 10 available! They also have some of the older T shirt designs and hoodies from the UK tours (Just checked one of the designs and its unavailable because one of the band members vehicle is impounded!!!!).

Its a damn shame I am skint!
